Snapchat's Vomitting Rainbows Feature Is No More

Snapchat has removed the rainbow-barfing and scary face lenses from its app in its latest update.
According to TechRadar, the robot effect has also been removed from the app, leaving "crying face, mustache man, gossip mag, angry face, slapped face, scared face and heart eyes" as the available options. Without the ability to make yourself regurgitate augmented reality rainbows, do the other choices even matter?
The overlays were part of a Snapchat update that hit only last week, so the window of time in which you could virtually throw-up white light's refracted image was cut terribly short. No explanation has been given for the reason behind the removal of the horror face, rainbow barf, or robot effects.
On the official Snapchat support page for Lenses, the demonstrated Lens is, of course, the rainbow barf one, because that's the one everyone realistically wants to use.
We've reached out to Snapchat to try to find an explanation for the loss of these Lenses from the newest update and we'll let you know what we find out.
Also, did you know IGN has an official channel on Snapchat Discover? If you were unaware of this, make sure to read up on all the cool IGN stuff you can find in an easily-digestible Snapchat format.
