This November is going to be a peculiar one however, Infinix and Innjoo would be launching top-of-line smartphones at the end of November, and then there is a bang. Xiaomi would be storming Africa with two of its highly rated smartphoes – Redmi 2 and Mi 2.
In August, TechRez independently confirmedplans by Xiaomi to lauch several range of smartphones in Nigeria’s mobile market. Xiaomi has now made it official that Africa is part of its global expansion plans.
Fews weeks ago, the leading Chinese OEM passed the United States FCC, which further suggested that Xiaomi was indeed heading to the west.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 is a 4.7-inch device; it is designed with 8MP primary camera, 2MP selfie camera. The Redmi 2 also packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz. The device also has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM with expandability options via microSD card. It would be powered by Android 4.4.4 OS and 2200mAh battery.
The Mi 4 is a 5-inch device; it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.5GHz. It will also feature 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 16GB ROM, 3GB RAM, 3080mAh battery.
